Clinical effect of LED narrow-spectrum UVA + infrared dual wavelength irradiation combined with 8-MOP external liniment in treatment of vitiligo
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of LED narrow-spectrum long wave ultraviolet(UVA)+ infrared(IR)dual wavelength irradiation combined with methoxalin solution(8-MOP)on the treatment of vitiligo.Methods:68 cases of vitiligo treated in our hospital from January 2021 to June 2023 were divided into control group and experimental group by random number table,34 cases in each group. In the control group,8-MOP was applied on the vitiligo lesions, followed by UVB irradiation. The experimental group was treated with IR irradiation and UVA irradiation after applying 8-MOP.The skin area of patients was recorded before and after treatment, and the curative effect of the two groups was evaluated after treatment, and the skin burning, tingling, redness and blisters in the two groups were observed and recorded during treatment. Results:The total effective rate of the experimental group was 85.29%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group 64.71%(P<0.05).After the intervention, the skin area of the two groups was significantly reduced after treatment(P<0.05),and the experimental group was significantly smaller than the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistical significance in the incidence of skin burning, stinging, redness and blisters between the two groups during treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:LEDUVA+IR dual wavelength irradiation combined with 8-MOP external liniment in the treatment of vitiligo patients is safe and effective.
