Diagnostic value of multi-plane recombination of CT examination in rib fracture
Objective:To evaluate the value of multiplanar recombination(MPR)technique in Computer tomography(CT)in the clinical diagnosis of rib fracture. Methods:From January 2020 to December 2022,70 patients diagnosed with rib fracture in our hospital were selected as the study objects. All patients underwent CT examination. And after that,multi-plane reconstruction(MPR)technique was used to reconstruct the rib condition.Based on the results of clinical diagnosis, the diagnosis of rib fracture by CT examination and MPR examination, the diagnosis of occult fracture, thoracolumbar injury classification and severity score(TLICS)were analyzed and compared.Results:130 rib fractures were confirmed by clinical operation in 70 patients, including 58 hidden fractures. The detection rate in MPR group was significantly higher than that in CT group(P<0.05).The detection rate of occult fracture in MPR group was better that that in CT group(P<0.05).TLICS score, proportion of TLICS score≥5 and proportion of TLICS score≥7 in MPR group were higher than those in CT group(P<0.05).Conclusion:MPR CT can effectively improve the detection rate of fracture and occult fracture, and improve the sensitivity of TLICS score in patients with rib fracture.
