Clinical efficacy observation on Duhuo Qufeng Huoxue Decoction Combined with Massage Assisted Western Medicine in the treatment of patients with low back and leg pain caused by lumbar disc herniation
Objective:131 patients with lumbar disc herniation admitted to the Neck,Shoulder,Lumbar and Leg Pain Hospital from July 2020 to November 2022 were selected as the study subjects.Methods:According to different treatment plans,patients were divided into control group(63 cases,treated with western medicine)and observation group(68 cases,treated with Duhuo Qufeng Huoxue Decoction combined with massage and assisted with western medicine).After treatment,the curative effect of the two groups was evaluated by"Diagnostic Efficacy Standard of Traditional Chinese Medicine Diseases",and the lumbar spine function was evaluated by Japanese orthopaedic association(JOA)before and after treatment.Visual simulation rating sheet(VAS)was used to evaluate the degree of pain before and after treatment;and compare the scores of Traditional Chinese Medicine symptoms between the two groups;The inflammatory factors[tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and interleukin-1(IL-1)]were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,and the adverse reactions of the two groups were recorded and observed after treatment.Results:The total therapeutic effect of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The Traditional Chinese Medicine symptom scores of the observation group 1 week and 1 month after treatment were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).1 week and 1 month after treatment,the lumbar JOA scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group,and the VAS scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).1 week and 1 month after treatment,the decline in TNF-α and IL-1 levels in the observation group was significantly greater than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the overall incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Duhuo Qufeng Huoxue Decoction combined with massage assisted with western medicine in the treatment of patients with low back and leg pain caused by lumbar disc herniation can improve the curative effect,improve lumbar function,relieve pain and inflammation,and has high safety.
