Effect of the dosage of progesterone capsule on sex hormone levels and menstrual cycle in patients with anovulatory menstrual disorder
Objective:To investigate the effect of the dosage of progesterone capsule on sex hormone levels and menstrual cycle in patients with anovulatory menstrual disorder. Methods:Sixty patients with anovulatory menstrual disorders treated in our hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were randomly divided into two groups, with 30 cases in each group.Patients in the control group took progesterone capsules orally,qd,100 mg·dose-1.Patients in the observation group took progesterone capsules orally,bid,200 mg·dose-1.Clinical effects, menstrual cycle, endometrial thickness, vaginal bleeding volume, duration of vaginal bleeding, luteinizing hormone(LH),follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),estradiol(E2),and adverse reactions were compared between the groups. Results:There was no significant difference in total effective rate between the two groups. After treatment, the levels of LH and E2 in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the levels in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the control group was significantly lower than that in the observation group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Low-dose and conventional-dose progesterone capsules have similar influence on sex hormone levels and menstrual cycle in patients with anovulatory menstrual disorder.However,low-dose progesterone induced fewer adverse reactions, indicating higher safety.
