Effect of low temperature radiofrequency plasma technology on pain and tumor recurrence in patients with pharyngeal space tumor resection
Objective:To investigate the effects of low temperature radiofrequency plasma technology on pain and tumor recurrence in patients with pharyngeal space tumor resection. Methods:A total of 62 patients who underwent surgical treatment for pharyngeal space tumors in our hospital from February 2016 to March 2021 were selected as the study objects. The patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 31 cases each. The control group was excised with traditional cold knife or hot knife. The observation group was excised by low temperature RF plasma technique. The perioperative indexes, pain degree and stress reaction before and 3 days after surgery, complications 1 month after surgery and tumor recurrence within 1 year were analyzed and compared between the two groups. Results:Operation duration, hospital stay, operative blood loss and mucosal recovery score in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05).The preoperative visual analogue scale(VAS)scores and cortisol(Cor),prostaglandin E2(PGE2),substance p(SP)were significantly improved in the two groups.SP)and other serological indexes were not significantly different(P>0.05).On the 3rd day after operation, the VAS scores and serological indexes of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The complication rate of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in recurrence rate,progression-free survival rate and overall survival rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Low temperature radiofrequency plasma technology can improve perioperative indexes, reduce pain stimulation, and has high safety, and does not increase the recurrence rate of tumor.
