Effect of transcranial magnetic stimulation assisted acupuncture at Baliao and Ququan on urinary retention after stroke
Objective:To explore the effect of transcranial magnetic stimulation assisted acupuncture at Baliao and Ququan on urinary retention after stroke. Methods:The patients with urinary retention after stroke admitted to the hospital from June 2021 to August 2022 were included. They were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group with 43 cases each. The control group was treated with acupuncture at Baliao and Ququan points on the basis of routine treatment, while the observation group received transcranial magnetic stimulation as an auxiliary treatment on the basis of the control group. Both groups were treated continuously for 2 weeks. The treatment effects of the two groups,as well as the urination status(urination frequency, daily average single urine volume)and urodynamic indicators(residual urine volume, maximum urine flow rate, and maximum bladder volume)of the two groups of patients before and after 2 weeks of treatment were compared. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with a statistical significant difference(P<0.05).Compared with before treatment, both groups showed a significant increase in urination frequency and daily single urine output after 2 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).Among them, the observation group was more significant(P<0.05).Compared with before treatment, after 2 weeks of treatment, the maximum urine flow rate and maximum bladder volume in both groups were significantly increased, and the residual urine volume in the bladder was significantly reduced(P<0.05).Among them, the observation group was more significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Transcranial magnetic stimulation assisted acupuncture at Baliao and Ququan points has a significant effect on Urinary retention after stroke, which can increase the number of urinations, daily average single urine volume, maximum urinary flow rate, and maximum capacity of the bladder, reduce residual urine volume of the bladder, and improve the therapeutic effect.
