Effect of propofol combined with sufentanil on postoperative analgesia and adverse reactions in patients with multiple rib fractures
Objective:To investigate the effects of propofol combined with sufentanil on postoperative analgesia and adverse reactions in patients with multiple rib fractures. Methods:A total of 96 patients scheduled to undergo internal fixation of multiple rib fractures in our hospital from February 2021 to February 2022 were selected as the study objects, and divided into control group and observation group randomly, with 48 cases in each group. The control group was anesthetized with propofol combined with remifentanil, while the observation group was anesthetized with propofol combined with sufentanil. The postoperative recovery time(anesthesia recovery time, spontaneous breathing recovery time, and directional recovery time)were compared between the two groups. At time points of preoperative(T0),postoperative 2 hours(T1),12 hours(T2),24 hours(T3),and 48 hours(T4),the levels of vital sign indicators[Heart rate(HR),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),systolic blood pressure(SBP),and pulse oximeter oxygen saturation(SPO2)]were compared between the two groups. At postoperative time points of 12 hours(t1),24 hours(t2),36 hours(t3),and 48 hours(t4),the condition related scores(Visual analog score(VAS),subjective comfort scale score,Ramsay sedation score),and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The recovery time of anesthesia, spontaneous respiration and orientation in observation group were shorter than those in control group(P<0.05).The fluctuation range of HR,SBP,DBP and SPO2 levels in the observation group was lower than that in the control group during the period of T1 to T4(P<0.05).During t1~t3 period VAS score and Ramsay sedation score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and subjective comfort scale scores were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in observation group was lower than that in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of propofol and sufentanil combined anesthesia in the internal fixation of multiple rib fractures can effectively improve the quality and comfort of anesthesia, maintain stable ecological signs, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, and promote postoperative rehabilitation.
