Analysis of the effect of acupoint application combined with Xuanfei Huatan Tang in the auxiliary treatment of pediatric bronchopneumonia
Objective:To explore the effect of acupoint application combined with Xuanfei Huatan Tang as an auxiliary treatment for pediatric bronchopneumonia.Methods:A total of 70 children with bronchopneumonia at Xuchang People's Hospital from December 2018 to December 2022 were included.They were randomly divided into a study group and a control group,with 35 cases in each group,using a random number table method.Both groups received routine Western medicine treatment,while the control group received Xuanfei Huatan Tang orally on this basis.The study group also received acupoint patches on top of the control group.After 7 days of treatment,the clinical efficacy,symptom improvement time,inflammatory factor levels,and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the study group(97.14%)was significantly higher than that of the control group(77.14%)(P<0.05).The improvement time of various symptoms in the study group was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).Tumor necrosis factor α,hypersensitive C-reactive protein and interleukin-6 were significantly decreased in both groups compared with before treatment,especially in the study group(P<0.05).No adverse reactions occurred during the treatment of both groups.Conclusion:The combination of acupoint application and Xuanfei Huatan Tang has a significant therapeutic effect in the auxiliary treatment of pediatric bronchopneumonia,which can shorten the time for symptom improvement,reduce inflammatory reactions,and is safe.
