Relationship between abnormal changes of nonspecific ST segment and T wave in electrocardiogram and adverse cardiovascular events in peritoneal dialysis patients
Objective:To investigate the relationship between abnormal changes of nonspecific ST segment and T wave in electrocardiogram and adverse cardiovascular events in peritoneal dialysis patients, and to analyze their prognostic value. Methods:A total of 84 patients who received peritoneal dialysis treatment in our hospital from February 2019 to February 2021 were retrospectively selected as the study objects.According to the non-specific ECG ST elevation, depression, prolongation and shortening, and T-wave low, flat, elevated, inverted and bidirectional changes upon admission,The enrolled patients were divided into abnormal ST-segment T wave group(n=40 cases)and normal ST-segment T wave group(n=44 cases).Clinical data such as gender, medical history, serum indexes, laboratory examination level, and incidence of adverse cardiovascular events were collected in the two groups.Cox proportional model was used to analyze the relationship between abnormal changes of nonspecific ST segment and T wave in electrocardiogram and adverse cardiovascular events in peritoneal dialysis patients. Results:There were no significant differences in sex ratio, age, blood lipid level and blood pressure between the two groups(P>0.05),but there were significant differences in the incidence of cardiovascular adverse events, dialysis time and serum soluble growth stimulator gene expression protein 2(sST2)level between the abnormal ST-segment T wave group and the normal ST-segment T wave group(P<0.05).Cox proportional model analysis showed that abnormal ST-segment T wave was positively correlated with cardiovascular adverse events, dialysis time and sST2 level(P<0.05).Conclusion:Abnormal ST-segment T wave is positively correlated with the occurrence of concurrent adverse cardiovascular events, dialysis time and sST2 level, which can be used as a risk factor for abnormal ST-segment T wave.According to the results, supervision should be strengthened to improve the prognosis of patients with abnormal ST-segment T wave.
