Analysis of the aesthetic effect and safety of multi-point injection of botox type A in different zones in improving the lower palpebral striae
Objective:To explore the aesthetic effect and safety of multi-point injection of Botulinum toxin A for therapeutic use(BTXA)in improving lower palpebral striae. Methods:A total of 180 patients with lower palpebral striae admitted to the outpatient department of our hospital from June 2021 to July 2022 were selected as research objects and randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 90 cases in each group. The control group was treated with three-point injection of BTXA,and the observation group was treated with multi-point injection of different zones of BTXA for 6 months. The degree of pruritus, improvement of lower palpebral striae,Global aesthetic improvement scale(GAIS),adverse reactions and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results:The itch score of observation group was higher than that of control group(P<0.05).Compared with before treatment, the score of wrinkle grade decreased and GAIS score increased in both groups(P<0.05),especially in observation group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in observation group was lower than that in control group(P<0.05).The satisfaction rate of observation group was higher than that of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with three-point injection,multi-point injection with different zones of BTXA has higher efficacy, aesthetic effect and safety, and can improve patient satisfaction.
