Application value of external jugular vein puncture in reducing contrast agent extravasation in CT enhanced scan
Objective:To investigate the application of external jugular venipuncture in reducing contrast agent extravasation in CT enhanced scan.Methods:286 patients treated with enhanced CT scan from September 2020 to September 2022 in our department were selected as the study objects, and were divided into 143 cases in the control group(with radial forearm venipentesis)and 143 cases in the study group(with external jugular venipentesis)randomly. The puncture conditions, smooth contrast agent infusion, imaging quality, and the incidence of adverse reactions at the puncture site were compared between the two groups. Results:The puncture time of the study group was shorter than that of the control group, the success rate of one-time puncture was higher than that of the control group, and the leakage rate was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The contrast injection time of the study group was shorter than that of the control group, and the CT value was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).In the study group the incidence of adverse reactions at the puncture site was lower than that in the control group,(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with radial forearm venocentesis, external jugular venocentesis can not only improve the success rate of one-time puncture, improve the scan image quality, but also reduce the contrast agent extravasation in CT enhanced scan and the adverse reactions at the puncture site.
