Evaluation and analysis of high-resolution MRI combined with diffusion weighted imaging in patients with anal fistula
Objective:To explore the evaluation value of high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)combined with diffusion weighted imaging(DWI)in patients with anal fistula. Methods:Clinical data of 65 patients with anal fistula treated in our hospital from January 2020 to October 2023 were retrospectively collected. All patients underwent high-resolution MRI and DWI examination before surgery.Surgical results were used as the gold standard, the results of high-resolution MRI combined with DWI evaluation of Parks classification were statistically analyzed, and their consistency and accuracy with surgical results were analyzed. Results:The surgical results showed that among the 65 patients, there were 32 cases of inter sphincteric type,23 cases of trans sphincter type,6 cases of upper sphincter type, and 4 cases of external sphincter type. The consistency between the classification results of high-resolution MRI evaluation and surgical results is strong(Kappa value=0.723,P<0.05).The combination of high-resolution MRI and DWI showed strong consistency between the classification results and surgical outcomes(Kappa value=0.879,P<0.05).The accuracy of high-resolution MRI examination was 81.54%(53/65),and the accuracy of high-resolution MRI combined with DWI examination was 93.85%(61/65),with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of high-resolution MRI and DWI has high evaluation value, which can clarify the classification of anal fistula and provide a basis for clinical surgical treatment.
