Effect of Wenyang Tongluo acupuncture assisted myoelectric biofeedback on clinical efficacy of children with spastic cerebral palsy
Objective:To explore the effects of Wenyang Tongluo acupuncture assisted myoelectric biofeedback on clinical efficacy,brain function,lower limb motor function and nerve function in children with spastic cerebral palsy(SCP).Methods:All 90 cases of SCP children admitted to Xinmi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2021 to June 2023 were collected and randomly divided into myoelectric group and acupuncture auxiliary group,45 cases in each group.The myoelectric group was given electromyography biofeedback therapy,and the acupuncture auxiliary group was given Wenyang Tongluo acupuncture assisted electromyography biofeedback therapy.After 2 months of treatment,the clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups,the brain function of the children was measured by EEG biofeedback instrument,and the lower limb motor function of the children was evaluated by gross motor function measure(GMFM),the balance function of the children was evaluated by Berg balance scale(BBS),and the muscle strength of the lower limbs was evaluated by modified Ashworth scale;brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF),nerve growth factor(NGF)and glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor(GDNF)were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Results:After treatment,the total effective rate of acupuncture assisted group(88.89%)was higher than that of myoelectric group(71.11%)(P<0.05);α wave and θ wave in acupuncture assisted group were lower than those in EMG group,β wave and SMR wave were higher than those in myoelectric group(P<0.05);the scores of GMFM-88-D,E and BBS in acupuncture assisted group were higher than those in EMG group,and the scores of MAS were lower than those in myoelectric group(P<0.05);the step length and step speed in acupuncture assisted group were higher than those in myoelectric group(P<0.05);the serum levels of BDNF,NGF and GDNF in acupuncture assisted group were higher than those in myoelectric group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Wenyang Tongluo acupuncture assisted myoelectric biofeedback has a good clinical effect on children with SCP,which can improve the brain function and nerve function,and promote the recovery of motor function.
