Effects of brain electricity stimulation combined with olanzapine on clinical efficacy,mental state,neurological function,and cognitive function of patients with schizophrenia
Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of brain electricity stimulation combined with olanzapine in treating schizophrenia patients and its effects on mental state,neurological function,and cognitive function.Methods:All 96 patients with schizophrenia admitted to The People's Hospital of Zhecheng from June 2020 to June 2023 were selected and randomly divided into the drug group and the brain electricity stimulation combined group with 48 cases in each group.The drug group was treated with olanzapine orally(5 mg,Bid),and the brain electricity stimulation combined group was treated with brain electricity stimulation(30 min,Qd)combined with olanzapine.After 2 months of treatment,the clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups.Neural function indexes such as brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF)and nerve growth factor(NGF)were detected by radioimmunoassay.Immunoglobulin A(IgA),immunoglobulin G(IgG),interleukin-6(IL-6),and interleukin-1β(IL-1β)were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,and the mental state was evaluated by positive and negative syndrome scale(PANSS),the cognitive function was evaluated by loewenstein occupational therapy cognitive assessment(LOTCA).Results:After treatment,the total effective rate of brain electricity stimulation combined group(91.67%)was higher than that of the drug group(75.00%)(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of BDNF and NGF in the brain electricity stimulation combined group were higher than those in the drug group,and the levels of IgA,IgG,IL-6,and IL-11β were lower than those in the drug group(P<0.05).After treatment,the PANSS score in the brain electricity stimulation combined group was lower than that in the drug group,and the LOTCA score was higher than that in the drug group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Brain electricity stimulation combined with olanzapine in treating schizophrenia can effectively improve nerve function and mental state,correct immune dysfunction,improve cognitive function and thus enhance the clinical efficacy of patients.
