Diagnostic efficacy of ultrasonography in thyroid tumors
Objective:To analyze the diagnostic efficacy of ultrasonography in differential diagnosis of thyroid tumors.Methods:90 patients with suspected thyroid tumor admitted to our hospital from September 2021 to September 2023 were selected as the study objects.Pathological findings are the"gold standard"for the diagnosis of thyroid tumors. To analyze the diagnostic efficiency of color Doppler ultrasound in thyroid tumors.Kappa test was used to analyze the consistency of color Doppler ultrasonography and pathological examination. The ultrasound imaging features of benign and malignant thyroid tumors were analyzed and compared. Results:Among the 90 patients with thyroid tumor,78 cases of benign tumor and 12 cases of malignant tumor were confirmed by pathological examination.Among the benign tumors,31 cases were nodular goiter,22 cases were thyroid glial cyst,14 cases were thyroid adenoma and 11 cases were thyroid cystadenoma.Malignant tumor:thyroid papillary carcinoma 12 cases. The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of color Doppler ultrasound were 94.87%,83.33%,93.33%,97.36%and 71.43%,respectively.After Kappa test, ultrasound diagnosis of thyroid tumor showed a high consistency with pathological examination(Kappa=0.768,P<0.05).The proportion of ultrasound imaging features of malignant thyroid tumors with blurred boundary, irregular shape, calcification, low echo, aspect ratio≥1,grade 2-3 blood flow distribution and lymph node metastasis was higher than that of benign thyroid tumors(P<0.05).Conclusion:Color Doppler ultrasound has high clinical value in determining the nature of thyroid tumors, and has better consistency with pathological examination.
