Effects of renin-angiotensin system on central nervous system diseases
Renin-angiotensin system(RAS)is an important endocrine system that regulates cardiovascular function and exerts a variety of biological effects.Studies have found that RAS is also widely distributed in brain tissue and participates in the pathophysiological process of various central nervous system diseases such as cognitive function. This article reviews the effects and research progress of RAS on central nervous system diseases such as Alzheimer's disease(AD),Parkinson's disease(PD),Ischemic stroke(IS),Bacterial meningitis(BM),and other central nervous system diseases. This article discusses the potential targets and mechanisms of RAS in central nervous system diseases, and seeks possible treatment ideas.
