Application effect of phloroglucinol assisted intervention in hysteroscopic treatment of patients with endometrial polyps
Objective:To explore the application effect of phloroglucinol-assisted intervention in the hysteroscopic treatment of patients with endometrial polyps. Methods:A total of 114 patients who underwent hysteroscopic endometrial polypectomy at Shicheng County People's Hospital from October 2020 to October 2023 were divided into an observation group(intravenous infusion of phloroglucinol injection 30 minutes before surgery)and a control group(using misoprostol 8 hours before surgery)based on different administration methods, with 57 patients in each group; The completion time of the entire surgery, intraoperative bleeding volume, and duration of hysteroscopy were compared, and the degree of pain was evaluated using Visual Analog Scale(VAS).The maximum number of dilation devices and dilation time passed and the incidence of adverse reactions and induced abortion syndrome(RAAS)were recorded. The length of hospital stay, preoperative and postoperative menstrual flow, menstrual duration, and endometrial thickness of patients were compared. Results:Operation time, intraoperative blood loss, duration of hysteroscopy,VAS score, size of the dilators that freely passed through the cervix, number of cases requiring dilation of the cervix, time for dilation of the cervix and the incidence rate of RAAS in the observation group were significantly shorter, less and lower(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the length of hospital stay, menstrual volume, duration of menstruation, endometrial thickness,or adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Applying phloroglucinol-assisted intervention in the hysteroscopic treatment of patients with endometrial polyps can effectively improve general surgical conditions and enhance the cervical softening effect, with little influence on the prognosis.
