Comparison of therapeutic effects between channel assisted minimally invasive suture system and traditional open repair surgery for acute closed Achilles tendon rupture
Objective:To analyze the efficacy of channel assisted minimally invasive suturing system(CAMIR)and traditional open repair surgery in the treatment of acute closed Achilles tendon rupture. Methods:A prospective randomized controlled study.Sixty patients with acute closed Achilles tendon rupture admitted to the Third People's Hospital of Jingdezhen City from September 2022 to March 2023 were randomly divided into a CAMIR group and a control group, with 30 cases in each group, using a random number table method. The control group underwent traditional incision surgery, while the CAMIR group underwent CAMIR repair surgery.Compare clinical indicators, postoperative AOFAS scores, and complications between two groups of patients. Results:The incision length, surgical time, intraoperative bleeding, and hospital stay in the CAMIR group were all smaller than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The postoperative AOFAS scores of the two groups showed an upward trend, with higher scores at 12 months postoperatively than at 3 months postoperatively. The CAMIR group had higher AOFAS scores at 3 months postoperatively than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in AOFAS scores between the two groups at 12 months after surgery(P>0 05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups of patients(P>0 05).Conclusion:In the treatment of acute closed Achilles tendon rupture, there is no significant difference in long-term efficacy between CAMIR repair surgery and traditional open repair surgery. However,CAMIR repair surgery can effectively reduce intraoperative bleeding, shorten surgical time, improve early foot and ankle function, promote patient recovery, and is safe and feasible.
