Application of modified small incision posterolateral approach in total hip arthroplasty
Objective:To explore the application of modified small incision posterolateral approach in total hip arthroplasty. Methods:The clinical data were collected from 82 patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty in the hospital between January 2020 and October 2023.According to random number table method, patients were divided into traditional group(traditional posterolateral approach,n=41)and modified group(modified small incision posterolateral approach,n=41).The differences in perioperative indexes, serum traumatic stress factors[serum cortisol(Cor),adrenaline(AD),norepinephrine(NE)]and incidence of complications between the two groups were compared. Results:The perioperative indexes(operation time, intraoperative blood loss, incision length, length of hospital stay)in modified group were better than those in traditional group(P<0.05).After surgery,Cor,AD and NE were increased in both groups, which were lower in modified group than traditional group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between modified group and traditional group(7.32%vs 17.07%,P>0.05).Conclusion:Modified small incision posterolateral approach shows significant advantages in total hip arthroplasty, which can optimize perioperative indexes and reduce postoperative stress response.
