Analysis of the correlation between anxiety and depression, psychological resilience, and cognitive function in patients with chronic schizophrenia
Objective:To analyze the correlation between anxiety and depression, psychological resilience, and cognitive function in patients with chronic schizophrenia(CS).Methods:69 CS patients admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to October 2023 were selected as the observation group, and 80 healthy individuals were recruited and selected as the control group during the same period. The scores of the Self Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self Rating Depression Scale(SDS),Psychological Resilience Scale(CD-RISC),and Schizophrenic Cognitive Function Test(MCCB)were compared between the two groups.Pearson correlation analysis was performed on the correlation between SAS,SDS,CD-RISC scores, and MCCB scores of CS patients. Results:The SAS and SDS scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, while the CD-RISC scores were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The total score and scores of various dimensions of MCCB in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that SAS,SDS scores were negatively correlated with MCCB scores(r=-0.361,-0.352,P<0.05),while CD-RISC scores were positively correlated with MCCB scores(r=0.384,P<0.05).Conclusion:The degree of anxiety and depression, psychological resilience, and cognitive function in CS patients are closely related.Relieving the degree of anxiety and depression and improving psychological resilience may help improve cognitive function.
