Comparative analysis of the near and long term prognosis of indirect pulp capping and deciduous pulp amputation in the treatment of deep caries near pulp of deciduous teeth
Objective:To investigate the near and long term prognosis of indirect pulp capping and deciduous teeth living pulp amputation in the treatment of deep caries near pulp of deciduous teeth. Methods:The clinical data of 102 children with deep deciduous teeth and proximal pulp caries admitted to our hospital from October 2021 to November 2023 were retrospectively collected. The children were divided into control group(indirect pulp capping,50 cases)and observation group(live pulp amputation,52 cases)according to different treatment plans. The clinical efficacy,short-term prognosis,long-term prognosis and complications of the two groups were analyzed and compared. Results:The effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).One week after surgery, there were no significant differences in swallowing, speech and mastication scores between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the survival rate of affected teeth 3 months after surgery between the two groups(P>0.05).After 6 months, the survival rate of affected teeth in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Compared with indirect pulp cap, mastomolar live pulp amputation has better clinical effect on patients with deep caries near pulp, can improve the long-term prognosis of patients, and has higher safety.
