Effect of intensity modulated radiotherapy on patients undergoing radical mastectomy
Objective:To investigate the effect of intensity modulated radiotherapy on patients undergoing radical mastectomy.Methods:76 patients with radical mastectomy treated in our hospital from June 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the study objects.Patients were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 38 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional radiotherapy. The observation group was treated with intensity modulated radiotherapy. The efficacy, radiotherapy related adverse reactions and quality of life of the two groups were analyzed and compared. Results:The total effective rate of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.05).The incidence rate of adverse reactions in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group(P<0.05).The SF-36 score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Intensity modulated radiotherapy after radical mastectomy for breast cancer can improve the therapeutic effect, reduce the adverse reactions related to radiotherapy and improve the quality of life of patients.
