Value of Agitated saline contrast echocardiography and enhanced transcranial Doppler in diagnosis of right-to-left shunt of patent foramen ovale
Objective:To observe the application value of agitated saline contrast echocardiography combined with enhanced transcranial Doppler in the diagnosis of right-to-left shunt of patent foramina ovale(PFO-RLS).Methods:60 suspected PFO-RLS patients diagnosed and treated in our hospital from April 2020 to April 2021 were selected as the study objects.Subjects underwent transesophageal echocardiography, agitated saline contrast echocardiography and enhanced transcranial Doppler.Using the results of transesophageal echocardiography as the gold standard in the diagnosis of PFO-RLS,the value of agitated saline contrast echocardiography and enhanced transcranial Doppler alone and combined in the diagnosis of PFO-RLS was determined. Results:Transesophageal echocardiography diagnosed PFO positive in 52 cases and PFO-RLS positive in 40 cases.Consistency test was performed. The consistency of agitated saline contrast echocardiography, enhanced transcranial Doppler and gold standard in the diagnosis of PFO,PFO-RLS was general, and the consistency of K value of the combined diagnosis and gold standard of PFO,PFO-RLS was greater than 0.80,indicating a good consistency. Conclusion:agitated saline contrast echocardiography combined with enhanced transcranial Doppler in the diagnosis of PFO-RLS is in good agreement with the gold standard.
