Value of serum miRNA-107 and miR-18a-5p in differential diagnosis of gastric cancer and precancerous lesions
Objective:To investigate the differential diagnosis value of serum miRNA-107 and miR-18a-5p in gastric cancer and precancerous lesions.Methods:60 patients with gastric cancer admitted to our hospital from June 2020 to June 2023 were selected as the gastric cancer group,50 patients with precancerous lesions were selected as the precancerous lesion group, and 30 healthy people who underwent physical examination in our hospital were selected as the healthy control group. The levels of serum miRNA-107 and miR-18a-5p in three groups were compared to explore the value of their expression levels in clinical diagnosis. Results:There were no significant differences in gender and age among the three groups(P>0.05).Compared with healthy control group, serum miRNA-107 and miR-18a-5p indexes in precancerous lesion group and cancer group were higher(P<0.05).Serum miRNA-107 and miR-18a-5p indexes in gastric cancer group were higher than those in precancerous lesion group(P<0.05).In this study, with pathological results as the"gold standard",it was found that the number of positive cases of combined miRNA-107 and miR-18a-5p in this study was higher than the number of positive cases of single serum detection, with statistical difference(P<0.05).Compared with serum miRNA-107 and miR-18a-5p,the binomial combination had higher sensitivity, specificity and accuracy, with statistical differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:Serum miRNA-107 and miR-18a-5p are highly expressed in patients with gastric cancer and precancerous lesions, indicating that they have high value in the differential diagnosis of gastric cancer and precancerous lesions.
