Analysis of the risk and risk factors of latent tuberculosis infection in coal worker pneumoconiosis patients
Objective:To analyze the risk and risk factors of latent tuberculosis infection in coal worker pneumoconiosis patients. Methods:Eighty coal worker pneumoconiosis patients treated in Ganzhou Fifth People's Hospital from January 2020 to July 2023 were selected.X-ray chest films and QuantiFERON-TB GOLD(QFT)were used to screen for latent tuberculosis infection.Clinical data of patients were collected through medical records, and logistic regression models were used to analyze the risk factors for latent tuberculosis infection. Results:The latent infection rate of tuberculosis in 80 coal worker pneumoconiosis patients was 63.75%.There were 51 cases in the latent infection group and 29 cases in the non-latent infection group, respectively. There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of job type, workplace ventilation, and smoking frequency(P<0.05);However,compared with other data such as age, education level, and marital status, there was no statistically significant difference. The results of the logistic regression model showed that mixed occupations and poor ventilation in the workplace were independent risk factors for latent tuberculosis infection of coal worker pneumoconiosis(P<0.05).Conclusion:The risk of latent tuberculosis infection of coal worker pneumoconiosis is quite high;and mixed occupations and poor ventilation in the workplace are independent risk factors for latent tuberculosis infection of coal worker pneumoconiosis. It is necessary to strengthen the awareness of tuberculosis prevention in coal worker pneumoconiosis patients and reduce the risk of infection.
