Therapeutic effect of open reduction and hollow nail internal fixation combined with local injection of platelet rich plasma as an adjuvant therapy for femoral neck fractures
Objective:Exploring the therapeutic effect of open reduction and hollow nail internal fixation combined with local injection of platelet rich plasma as an adjuvant therapy for femoral neck fractures.Methods:A study was conducted on 116 patients with femoral neck fractures treated in the Dushan Campus of Nanyang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from September 2021 to September 2022.The patients were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group.The treatment method for the control group was open reduction and hollow nail internal fixation,while the observation group received adjuvant treatment with local injection of platelet rich plasma in addition to the control group.Compare surgical observation indicators between two groups of patients,evaluate postoperative hip joint function and fracture healing status,compare bone healing indicators before and after treatment,and evaluate the incidence of postoperative complications.Result:The observation group had shorter fracture healing time and weight-bearing walking time compared to the control group in terms of surgical indicators(P<0.05).The bone callus scores of both groups improved at 6 weeks,12 weeks,half a year,and 1 year after surgery,with the observation group being more significant(P<0.05).Compared with preoperative conditions,bone healing indicators such as osteoprotegerin(OPG),alkaline phosphatase(ALP),and bone gamma carboxyglutamic containing proteins(BGP)were improved in both groups at 6 and 12 weeks postoperatively,with the observation group showing a more significant improvement(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was 5.17%,significantly lower than that in the control group at 17.24%(P<0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of femoral neck fractures with open reduction and hollow nail internal fixation combined with local injection of platelet rich plasma can effectively improve surgical indicators,enhance hip joint function,promote fracture healing in patients,reduce the incidence of complications,and have a significant therapeutic effect.
