Comparison of the effects of Mirena and dydrogesterone on sex hormones, endometrial receptivity and recurrence rate after hysteroscopic resection of endometrial polyp
Objective:To compare the effects of Mirena and dydrogesterone on sex hormones, endometrial receptivity and recurrence rate after hysteroscopic resection of endometrial polyp(EP).Methods:Sixty patients who underwent resection of EP in the hospital from January 2021 to October 2023 were randomly divided into two groups, with 30 cases in each group. After operation, the control group was treated with oral dydrogesterone tablets 10 mg,twice a day.The study group was treated with Mirena. After 3 months of treatment, the levels of sex hormones, including follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),estradiol(E2)and luteinizing hormone(LH)in the two groups were measured using an electrochemiluminescence instrument.Endometrial thickness, pulsatility index(PI)and resistance index(RI)of uterine spiral artery, and endometrial receptivity score(Salle)were used to evaluate endometrial receptivity.Recurrence rates and the incidence rates of adverse reactions in the two groups were statistically analyzed. Results:There was no statistically significant difference in sex hormones between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).After treatment, the observation group had better endometrial receptivity and higher endometrial receptivity score compared to the control group. The incidence of adverse reactions was lower in the study group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Mirena has little influence on sex hormone levels in patients after resection of EP and can improve endometrial receptivity, with high safety.
