Comparison and analysis of the diagnostic value of transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound images of endometrial polyps
Objective:To compare and analyze the ultrasound images of endometrial polyps examined by transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound, and to explore the diagnostic value of the two examination methods. Methods:Clinical data of 90 patients with endometrial lesions admitted to our hospital from August 2022 to August 2023 were retrospectively collected.Physical biopsy results were used as the diagnostic"gold standard"to compare the ultrasound findings and diagnostic values of transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound examinations. Results:Among 90 patients with endometrial lesions,53 cases(58.89%)were diagnosed with endometrial polyps.Transvaginal ultrasound examination showed that the proportion of color doppler flow imaging(CDFI)grade 0-I patients was lower than that of transabdominal ultrasound examination(P<0.05),and the proportion of grade Ⅱ-Ⅲ patients was higher than that of transabdominal ultrasound examination(P<0.05).The sensitivity, negative predictive value, and accuracy of transvaginal ultrasound in diagnosing endometrial polyps were significantly higher than those of abdominal ultrasound in diagnosing endometrial polyps. There was no statistically significant difference in the specificity and positive predictive value between the two ultrasound methods. Conclusion:Compared with transabdominal ultrasound, transvaginal ultrasound can obtain more accurate ultrasound information for diagnosing endometrial polyps and improve the diagnostic value of this disease.
