Using PASS to analyze the rationality of medication in Xiushui Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Objective:To observe the analysis result of Prescription Automatic Screening System(PASS)on the rationality of medication in Xiushui Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Methods:1,500 western medicine prescriptions,1,500 traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions,300 inpatient prescriptions,and 300 antibiotic-containing prescriptions were collected from Xiushui Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 2018 to 2023.The irrational use of western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine,irrational medication of inpatient prescriptions,and irrational use of antibiotics in different years were compared.Results:The irrational use of western medicine was less common in the later stage than in the earlier stage from 2018 to 2023,and there was recurrence from 2021 to 2022,showing an overall decreasing trend.There was no significant change in irrational use of traditional Chinese medicine in the earlier stage,but the phenomenon increased in the middle stage.There was recurring phenomenon between 2020 and 2022,and sharp decrease in 2023,showing an overall trend of first increasing,then stagnating,and finally decreasing.The total number of problems in irrational medication of inpatient prescriptions showed a recurring trend from 2020 to 2022,with a sharp decrease in 2023.Overall,it showed a decreasing trend.The irrational use of antibiotics in inpatient prescriptions showed a recurring trend from 2021 to 2022,with a sharp decrease in 2023.Overall,it showed a decreasing trend.Conclusion:PASS can effectively improve rational drug use,and the intervention effect of PASS on the rationality of medication in Xiushui Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine is significant.
