Anaesthetic effects and recovery quality in patients undergoing short-term oral and maxillofacial surgery under conventional general anesthesia and its combination with esketamine anesthesia
Objective:To observe the anesthetic effect and recovery quality of patients undergoing short-term oral and maxillofacial surgery under general anesthesia and combined with esketamine anesthesia. Methods:A total of 60 patients who underwent short-term oral and maxillofacial surgery in our hospital from January 2022 to August 2024 were selected and randomly divided into a conventional group and a combined group(n=30)according to the odd-even number grouping method. The conventional group underwent general anesthesia, while the combined group underwent general anesthesia combined with esketamine 0.25 mg·kg-1.The anesthesia effect and recovery quality of the two groups were compared, and the mean arterial pressure(MAP)and heart rate(HR)were monitored using an electrocardiogram monitor before anesthesia induction(T0),after anesthesia induction(T1),during intubation(T2),3 minutes after intubation(T3),at the end of surgery(T4),and immediately after extubation(T5).The occurrence of adverse reactions was recorded. Results:The onset time of anesthesia, recovery time of anesthesia, and recovery time of breathing in the combined group were earlier than those in the conventional group, and the amount of propofol used was less than that in the conventional group(P<0.05).Compared with T0,MAP at T1-T4 and HR at T1-T5 in the conventional group significantly decreased, and MAP at T1,T3,and T4 and HR at T1-T4 in the combined group significantly decreased.Furthermore, compared between groups,MAP and HR at T1 in the conventional group were lower than those in the combined group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the combined group was 3(10.00%),which was lower than the incidence of adverse reactions in the conventional group, which was 10(33.33%)(P<0.05).Conclusion:Conventional general anesthesia combined with esketamine anesthesia can improve the anesthesia effect and recovery quality, help stabilize the patient's hemodynamics, and reduce adverse reactions.
