Study on the characteristics and diagnosis of vaginal ultrasonography in patients with Polycystic ovarian morphology
Objective:To evaluate the value of vaginal ultrasonography in the diagnosis of Polycystic ovarian morphology(PCOM).Methods:A total of 97 PCOM patients admitted to Zhengzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2022 to March 2024 were selected as the PCOM group, and 97 healthy women who underwent physical examinations at our hospital during the same period were selected as the control group. All subjects underwent transvaginal color Doppler ultrasonography. The volume of ovary and the number of ovarian follicles were calculated, and the blood flow parameters[peak systolic blood flow velocity(PSV)],resistance index(RI),pulse index(PI)were obtained. The ovarian volume, follicle number and vaginal ultrasound parameters of the two groups were compared. The diagnostic value of vaginal ultrasound parameters for PCOM was tested. Results:The ovarian volume and follicle number in PCOM group were significantly higher than those in control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The PSV level in PCOM group was significantly higher than that in control group, and the RI and PI levels were significantly lower than that in control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Receiver operator characteristic curve results showed that the areas under the curve of PSV,RI,PI and combined diagnosis of PCOM were 0.745,0.783,0.788 and 0.919,respectively,all of which were greater than 0.7,and the value of combined diagnosis was more significant. Conclusion:Vaginal ultrasonography can clearly identify the changes of ovarian volume and follicle number in PCOM patients, and PSV,RI,PI have certain value in the diagnosis of PCOM,and the combined diagnosis value is higher.
