Effect of nasal high flow humidified oxygen therapy on patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease complicated with chronic left heart failure
Objective:To investigate the effect of nasal high flow humidified oxygen therapy on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)complicated with chronic left heart failure(HFNC).Methods:The clinical data of 98 patients with COPD combined with chronic left heart failure admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to June 2023 were retrospectively collected.Patients were divided into control group(nasal catheter oxygen therapy,n=49)and observation group(HFNC treatment,n=49)according to different treatment regiments. The dyspnea index(mMRC score),cardiac function, blood gas parameters and safety were analyzed and compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the mMRC score,NT-proBNP and PaCO2 levels in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the LVEF and PaO2 levels were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse events in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of HFNC in the treatment of COPD patients with chronic left heart failure can alleviate dyspnea symptoms, improve cardiac function indexes and blood gas parameters, and improve safety.
