Effect of mild hypothermia combined with citicoline on prognosis of emergency patients with severe carbon monoxide poisoning
Objective:To investigate the effect of mild hypothermia combined with citicoline on prognosis of acute severe carbon monoxide(CO)poisoning patients. Methods:A total of 80 patients with severe CO poisoning diagnosed and treated in the emergency department of our hospital from January 2020 to June 2023 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with intramuscular injection of citicoline injection, and the observation group was treated with mild low temperature on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, inflammatory factor levels[interleukin-6(IL-6),C-reactive protein(CRP),systemic immunoinflammatory index(SII)],complications and wakefulness rate of the two groups were analyzed and compared. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no significant difference in IL-6,CRP levels, and SII index between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of IL-6,CRP,and SII index in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the wakefulness rate was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05)Conclusion:Mild hypothermia combined with citicoline can improve the clinical efficacy of patients with severe CO poisoning in emergency, reduce the level of inflammatory factors, reduce the complications of patients, and increase the sobriety rate.
