Comparing online teaching and offline-online blended teaching of physiology in students of clinical medicine through analysis of test scores
Objective:To compare online and offline-online blended teaching in physiology, and to determine whether there is any difference in improving student performance between online teaching and online-offline blended teaching. Methods:Based on educational measurement theory and statistical methods,The 2020 and 2021 undergraduate students of clinical medicine are divided into four groups:2020 online group,2020 online-offline blended group,2021 online-offline blended first part group and 2021 online-offline blended second part group. The final exam scores of the two grades and each group are analyzed. Results:The score rate of the 2020 online group was significantly higher than that of each group(P<0.05 or P<0.01).When comparing test questions of facility values, the score rate of the 2020 online group on easy questions was 87.98±3.6,which was significantly higher than that of other groups(P<0.05 or P<0.01);the score rate of the 2020 online group on moderate question was(61.17±8.15),which was also significantly higher than the 2021 blended first part group(55.67±7.07)(P<0.05).Conclusion:Online teaching applied to the teaching of physiology can significantly improve students'learning level, and the advantages reflected in online teaching provide reference ideas for the improvement of offline-online blended teaching of physiology.
