Identification of Geographical Origin and Culture Water Body of Chinese Mitten Handed Crab Eriocheir sinensis Based on Mineral Element Fingerprints
In order to develop the identification technology for the geographical origin and aquaculture water body of Chinese mitten handed crab Eriocheir sinensis, male crab with body weight ranged 180~200 g were sampled from Yangcheng Lake(YCL),ponds around Yangcheng Lake(YCP),Hongze Lake(HZL),Gaoyou Lake(GYL)and Gucheng Lake(GCL),and the contents of 35 elements such as Ca,Mg,K,Na,Sr and Fe.in whole body were determined. The results showed that there were significant differences in 32 element contents among the five groups of crab.Based on the content of the 35 elements, the discriminant analysis was performed and 10 elements entered the discriminant model, with the discriminant original accuracy of 98.3%and cross validation of 98.3%.About 11.1%of HZL crab were classified into GYL,which is geographically closely.Eight elements including Ca,Mg,K,Na,Fe,Mn,Zn,and Cu,which were artificially input in the aquaculture process with a large amount, were excluded then the discriminant analysis was run again,6 elements entered the discriminant model. The discriminant accuracy of original and cross validation was found to be 100.0%and 96.7%,respectively.In addition to 11.1%of HZL crab were classified into GYL,11.1%of GCL crab were also classified into geographically distant GYL.These results suggested that using mineral fingerprint to identify the geographical origin and aquaculture water body of Chinese mitten handed crab presented high accuracy, and the elements artificially input in the aquaculture process had no negative effect on the identification.
