Research on digital dconomy,technological innovation and high-quality economic development
Based on the analysis of panel datasets from 30 regions in China(excluding Tibet,Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan)from 2011 to 2020,and using the spatial Durbin model and the mediating effect model,the impact mecha-nism and spatial heterogeneity of the digital economy on high-quality economic development are discussed.The measurement results show that:(1)The digital economy has a positive impact on the high-quality development of China's economy.(2)The improvement of the level of digital economy has an inhibiting effect on the economic de-velopment of neighboring regions.(3)The digital economy has a significant role in promoting high-quality economic development in the eastern,central and western regions,and the effect is the most obvious in the central region.(4)The results of the mediating effect model show that the digital economy can promote the high-quality development of the economy through technological innovation.To sum up,the digital economy has played a positive role in pro-moting high-quality economic development.However,we also need to pay attention to the regional disparities and digital segregation that may result from the development of the digital economy,and to this end,we need to formu-late targeted policies to promote balanced economic development.At the same time,the key position of technological inno-vation in the digital economy also needs to be paid attention to,and promoting technological progress will help achieve high-quality economic development.
