Experimental study on extracting aluminum from fly ash activated by sodium carbonate
With sodium carbonate as activation agent, uniformly mixed with fly ash and calcined at high temperature, make the low chemical activity of mullite into nepheline of easily soluble in acid, after acid leaching, the Al2O3 in activated fly ash is transferred to acid solution to achieve the purpose of extracting aluminum. The effects of mass ratio of fly ash and Na2CO3,quality fraction of sulfuric acid, acid leaching liquid-solid ratio, acid leaching tempera-ture and acid leaching time on Al2O3 leaching rate were investigated. Results show that:When the mass ratio of fly ash and Na2CO3 is 1∶0.3,the mass fraction of sulfuric acid is 25%,the acid leaching temperature is 95 ℃,the acid leaching time is two hours, the acid leaching liquid-solid ratio of 6 mL/g,Al2O3 leaching rate is highest, its value can reach 95%.
