Reasons and control for longitudinal corner crack in heavy rail steel bloom
In view of the longitudinal corners cracks in the of heavy rail billets during production,the formation mechanism of longitudinal cracks at the corners of billets is analyzed.By strengthening the management of crystalli-zer use,precision of crystallizer arc alignment,optimizing crystallizer cooling system,improving the performance of crystallizer protective slag,and other measures,the occurrence of longitudinal cracks at the corners of heavy rail billets can be effectively controlled.
