Analysis andcontrol of steel leakage in high speed continuous casting machine
In response to the actual situation of steel leakage in high drawing speed small billets of Tangshan Iron and Steel Company's Long Materials Division since its commissioning,the results show that the proportion of steel leak-age caused by cracks is the highest,at 62.5%.After analyzing the mechanism of crack formation under high pulling speed,different water consumption ranges for different steel grades are formulated,especially for crack sensitive steel grades that do not exceed the maximum temperature difference between the inlet and outlet water of the crys-tallizer,reducing the amount of water in the crystallizer can slow down the cooling rate of the casting billet;In-crease the maximum frequency,optimize the positive slip time,increase the consumption of protective slag,and improve the heat transfer between the crystallizer and the billet shell;Stabilize the conditions of molten steel to en-sure that w(P)≤0.035%and w(S)≤0.026%;At the same time,it is necessary to improve the service life of the submerged nozzle,standardize worker operations,and reduce the fluctuation of the crystallizer liquid level.After adjusting the process parameters,the high speed continuous casting machine of the Long Materials Division stabilized at a speed of 4.2 m/min,and the steel leakage rate decreased from 1.01%to 0.1%.
