Analysis of the uniformity of spangle on the surface of Al-Zn alloy coated steel
Conduct a survey on the uniformity of spangle size distribution on the surface of aluminum-zinc coated steel plates and conducted analysis on the morphology and compound layer of surface spangle,the depth distribution of coating elements,and the R-C-OO-Fe surface of rolled hard plates.The results showed that the spangle in the middle 800 mm of the steel plate is small,and the Zn element content at the center of the small spangle nucleus is higher than that of the normal spangle.The Zn content in the normal zinc flower coating at the middle position of the coating was higher than that in the small spangle coating.The reason for the uneven spangle is analyzed to be that R-C-OO-Fe adhered to the surface of the steel plate,and the alkaline washing process before hot-dip coat-ing could not remove it.A nucleation mechanism was proposed,in which excessive diffusion of Fe into the coating increased the solidification nucleation rate of the coating.
