The Influence of Leisure Activities on the Quality of Life of Urban Elderly Patients with Chronic Diseases——Analysis Based on the Mediation and Adjustment Effects of Social Support and the Number of Chronic Diseases
The rising proportion of the elderly suffering from chronic diseases has widened the gap between the average life expectancy and the average healthy life expectancy of the elderly population in China.Based on the survey data of participation in cultural activities of elderly patients with chronic diseases in Xi'an in 2021,this paper analyzes the mechanism of social support and the number of chronic diseases in the influence of different types of leisure activities on the quality of life of urban elderly patients with chronic diseases through the adjusted intermediary effect model.The results show that individual leisure activities,group leisure activities,and social support can significantly improve the quality of life of urban elderly patients with chronic diseases.Social support plays a completely mediating role between group leisure activities and quality of life,and at the same time,the number of chronic diseases plays a regulating role in the influence paths of"group leisure activities-social support"and"social support-quality of life"of urban elderly patients with chronic diseases.The research results emphasize the importance of improving the participation environment of community leisure activities and building a multi-level social support network for elderly patients with chronic diseases to improve the healthy life span of urban residents.
