The Upper Permian Wujiaping Formation is the main ore-bearing stratum of the pyrite layer in the mining area, and it is also the groundwater storage stratum. In order to ensure the safety of the pyrite production, the groundwater of the mining area is explored by means of CSAMT geophysical exploration. The water-rich area at the top interface of Maokou Formation can be divided into three blocks in the east, middle and west, among which the eastern region is the largest water-rich area with more developed karst fractures, relatively broken rocks and significantly lower apparent resistivity.Comprehensive evaluation of the hydrogeology of the mining area belongs to the development of karst fractures formed by fissures, relatively strong water-rich,groundwater by the upper aquifer vertical recharge, and through the fissures deep runoff to the Xiangjiang River.
