The Yichun tantalum-niobium deposit which is located in the eastern part of the Qinzhou-hangzhou me-tallogenic belt is a granite-type rare metal deposit.Various rare metal mineralizations such as Ta,Nb,Li,Rb,Cs,W,and Sn are developed in the deopsit,and vertical zoning is formed during the physical and chemical evolution of mag-matism.Based on the comprehensive study of the characteristics of the deposit,the mineral characteristics of the ore,the metallogenic conditions of rare metals have been dicussed.So it concluds that the formation of the deposit is closely related to the properties of magmatic rocks and magmatic evolution,and the high content of rare elements in the normal granite of the mining area and the sealing effect of the cap rock at the top of the rock mass are the keys to the formation of the deposit.
