Analysis on the Types and Causes of Geological Disasters in Huiyang District,Huizhou City
Huiyang district is located in the Pearl River Delta economic zone.With dynamic economy,large popula-tion density and complex geological environment,geological disasters(hidden dangers)have a great impact on soci-ety.In order to find out the development characteristics and formation law of geological disasters in Huiyang district,this paper analysis of 51 geological disasters(30 collapses,19 landslides,and 2 ground subsidence),and found that the geological disasters in this area have obvious characteristics of uneven distribution in time and space.The disas-ter-forming factors are controlled by the internal factors of topography and geological structure,as well as the external factors such as uneven rainfall distribution and human engineering activities.Heavy rainfall in the main flood season and human activities have become the leading factors inducing geological disasters.The analysis result can provide a scientific basis for the prevention and management of geological disasters in this area.
