Taking Lianshan Zhuang and Yao Autonomous County in Guangdong Province as the research area,with the support of field survey,unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)survey,drilling and geophysical exploration,the distribution characteristics and causes of 65 geological disasters in the research area were analyzed.The research results indicate that geological disasters in Lianshan County are mainly distributed in hilly terrain with an altitude of 200~500 meters,an elevation difference of 5~200 meters,a slope greater than 45°,a geological structure within a range of 2 kilometers,and soil slopes of block hard to hard intrusive rock formations and layered soft metamorphic rock formations,and they mostly occur during the rainy season from April to June.The formation of this distribution pattern is due to the influ-ence of geological disasters in Lianshan County,including terrain,geomorphology,tectonic movements,stratigraphic lithology,precipitation,and human engineering activities.The research results will help to develop effective disaster prevention and reduction measures locally,and minimize the personnel and property losses caused by geological disas-ters in Lianshan County.
