Objective:To summarize Professor Hao Hongwen's academic understanding and clinical experience in taking the liver as the key line and combining the five viscera to diagnose and treat children's tic disorder,in order to provide new ideas for clinical diagnosis and treatment of children with tic disorder. Methods:Through clinical study from Professor Hao Hongwen, the relevant clinical typical case were summarized, thought deeply and analyzed, and Professor Hao Hongwen's academic understand-ing and clinical experience on children's tic disorder were summarized from the aspects of etiology, pathogenesis, syndrome differ-entiation and treatment, and an empirical case was cited as evidence. Results:Professor Hao Hongwen believed that the responsi-bility for the disease was the liver wind, the liver was the root of the disease location, and the extension was closely related to the heart, lung, spleen and kidney. She proposed that the key of the pathogenesis was endogenous liver wind, combined with the rela-tionship between the characteristics of tic disorder and the liver and the five internal organs, and implemented four treatment methods of soothing the liver, clearing the liver, flattening the liver and softening the liver. Conclusion:Professor Hao Hongwen's academic understanding and treatment of children with tic disorder based on liver and five viscera are satisfactory in clinical prac-tice,which is worthy of further study.
