Effects of Heyang Xiaoying Decoction combined with Euthyrox in the treatment of Hashimoto's thyroiditis due to spleen qi deficiency and the influence on thyroid hormones and thyroid autoantibodies
Objective:To observe the effects of Heyang Xiaoying Decoction combined with Euthyrox in the treatment of Hashimoto's thyroiditis due to spleen qi deficiency and the influence on thyroid hormones and thyroid autoantibodies.Methods:A total of 114patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis due to spleen qi deficiency who were treated in the hospital from May 2020to May 2022were selected as the study subjects.They were divided into the observation group(n=57)and the control group(n=57)by random number table method.Patients in the control group were treated with Euthyrox,and those in the observation group were treated with Heyang Xiaoying Decoction combined with Euthyrox.Changes in thyroid hormones[free triiodothyronine(FT3),free thyroxine(FT4)and thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)],thyroid autoantibodies[thyroglobulin antibodies(TG-Ab)and thy-roid peroxidase antibody(TPO-Ab)]and TCM syndrome scores after treatment were compared between the two groups.Efficacy and safety were evaluated.Results:There was no significant difference in relevant indicators between the two groups before treat-ment(P＞0.05).After treatment,TG-Ab,TPO-Ab,TSH and TCM syndrome scores decreased(P＜0.05).FT3 and FT4 in-creased(P＜0.05).TG-Ab,TPO-Ab,TSH and TCM syndrome scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).FT3 and FT4 were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The total response rate in the ob-servation group(91.23％)was significantly higher than that in the control group(71.93％)(P＜0.05),but there was no statis-tically significant difference in the incidence of adverse events(P＞0.05).Conclusion:Heyang Xiaoying Decoction combined with Euthyrox for treating Hashimoto's thyroiditis due to spleen qi deficiency has significant advantages in regulating thyroid hor-mones,lowering autoantibody levels and correcting clinical symptoms.Besides,the treatment is reliable and safe.
