Effect of Dahuang Muli Decoction retention enema combined with cinacalcet in the treatment of hemodialysis pa-tients with hyperparathyroidism
Objective:To observe the effect of Dahuang Muli Decoction retention enema combined with cinacalcet in the treatment of hemodialysis patients with hyperparathyroidism.Methods:A total of 94hemodialysis patients with hyperparathyroid-ism admitted to the hospital from April 2020to October 2022were selected and divided into the study group and the control group by random number table method with 47patients in each group.The control group was treated with oral cinacalcet hydrochloride tablets,and the study group was treated with Dahuang Muli Decoction retention enema on this basis.Efficacy,TCM syndrome scores,size of the parathyroid gland,serum phosphorus and calcium,parathyroid hormone,bone alkaline phosphatase(B ALP)and bone mineral density(BMD)were compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment,the total response rate in the study group(95.74%)was higher than that in the control group(82.98%)(P<0.05).TCM syndrome scores of both groups de-creased,and scores of the study group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The length,width and thickness of parathyroid glands in both groups decreased,and size in the study group was smaller than that in the control group(P<0.05).Serum phosphorus levels in the two groups decreased,and serum calcium levels increased.Serum phosphorus level in the study group was lower than that in the control group,and serum calcium level was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Ser-um parathyroid hormone levels in the two groups decreased,and the levels of BALP and BMD increased.Parathyroid hormone lev-els in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the levels of BALP and BMD were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Dahuang Muli Decoction retention enema combined with cinacalcet can help regulate the metabolic levels of calcium and phosphorus in hemodialysis patients with hyperparathyroidism while regulating parathyroid hormone and improving bone metabolism.
