Clinical effect of Six meridians differentiation combined with acupuncture in the treatment of cervical spondylopa-thy of nerve root type
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect and advantage of Six meridians differentiation combined with acu-puncture in the treatment of radiculopathy of cervical spondylosis. Methods:A total of 90patients diagnosed as radiculopathy ad-mitted to the second District of the Massage Department of Yulin Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Guangxi Province from October 2019to October 2021were selected as the research objects, and randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group(45patients in each group). The treatment group was treated with comprehensive acupuncture therapy of Six meridi-ans differentiation, while the control group was treated with comprehensive acupuncture therapy of non-meridian and collaterals acupuncture and massage. The duration of treatment in both groups was 2weeks,and the time points were investigated before treat-ment,after treatment,1week after discharge and 4weeks after discharge. The Traditional Chinese Medicine Evaluation Scale,Jap-anese Orthopaedic Association score(JOA),visual analogue pain scale(VAS)and cervical spine Dysfunction Index score(NDI)were recorded to compare the improvement of symptoms between the two groups.Result:Patients in both groups comple-ted all treatment without adverse events. After treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 95.6%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 82.2%.The TCM evaluation of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The results of intra-group comparison showed that compared with before treatment,JOA scores of the two groups were higher immediately after treatment,1week after discharge and 4weeks af-ter discharge(P<0.05).VAS score and NDI score were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05).The results of inter-group comparison showed that there was no statistical significance in JOA,VAS and NDI scores between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).VAS and NDI scores of the treatment group immediately after treatment,1week after discharge and 4weeks after discharge were lower than those of the control group, and JOA scores were higher than those of the control group, with signif-icant statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:Six meridians differentiation combined with acupuncture has the advantages of individual treatment, which can significantly improve the three clinical symptoms of radioactive pain, numbness and fatigue in cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.Compared with ordinary manipulation and acupuncture,it has more promotion significance.
