Curative effect of electroacupuncture stimulation combined with massage on cervical hypertension and its influences on neck function and blood pressure variability
Objective To explore the curative effect of electroacupuncture stimulation combined with massage on cervical hy-pertension(CHBP)and its influences on neck function and blood pressure variability. Methods A total of 120patients with CHBP confirmed in the hospital were retrospectively enrolled between January 2022and January 2023.According to simple randomization method, they were divided into observation group(n=60)and control group(n=60).The control group was treated with routine western medicine, while observation group was additionally given electroacupuncture stimulation combined with massage. All were treated for 1 months. The scores of TCM syndromes, curative effect, neck function and blood pressure variability were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, scores of TCM syndromes in both groups were decreased, which were lower in observation group than control group(P<0.05).After treatment, total response rate of observation group was higher than that of control group(85.00%vs 70.00%,P<0.05).After treatment, angles of anterior flexion, posterior extension, left rotation and right rotation were increased, which were greater in observation group than control group, and scores of neck disability index(NDI)were decreased, which were lower in observation group than control group(P<0.05).After treatment,24h mean systolic blood pressure,24h mean diastolic blood pressure and 24h systolic blood pressure variability in both groups were decreased, which were lower in observation group than control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Electroacupuncture stimulation combined with massage can effectively improve range of motion, neck function and reduce blood pressure variability in patients with CHBP.
